Wireless RF Systems Validation Engineer, Connectivity

What you'll do

• Execute validation and characterization test plans to meet industry, emissions, and performance requirements.
• Bring up devices under test and implement test system setups for validation readiness.
• Perform failure analysis on low margin or failed components using experimental software and hardware.
• Debug technical issues independently and propose fixes to cross-functional engineering teams.
• Optimize radio performance and design implementation to achieve regulatory compliance while maintaining user performance.
• Support manufacturing test and certification processes for global regulatory standards including FCC, ETSI, and Bluetooth SIG.
• Track validation status and communicate technical insights and data to cross-functional forums.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Practical knowledge of at least one Connectivity Wireless technology including WLAN, BT, UWB, or Thread.
• Experience with bench level wireless testing, debug at the module, reference board, or system level.
• Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience (preferred).
• Practical knowledge of connectivity industry standards including 802.11, Bluetooth SIG, 802.15, and compliance requirements (preferred).
• Expertise in configuring and operating complex RF test setups and characterizing devices against global regulatory standards (preferred).
• Experience with device certification processes, including industry certifications and regulatory compliance (preferred).
• Debug level experience on connectivity radio systems at the conducted level (preferred).
