As a Wireless Subsystem Test and Software Tools Engineer within the Cellular Technologies Software group, you will perform comprehensive end-to-end feature validation for large-scale software subsystems used in advanced wireless research. You will develop and maintain test frameworks, utilities, and automation while executing nightly regression suites to support development milestones and industry showcases. The role involves establishing hardware and network environments, debugging complex embedded software, and creating tools for data visualization and system performance analysis. To succeed, you must be proficient in C/C++ and Python with a solid understanding of multi-threading and OS fundamentals. You will work with advanced compute platforms to validate 5G and 6G wireless systems. Relevant technical expertise includes Linux environments, CI/CD workflows, network protocols like LTE and 802.11, and experience with telecom test equipment such as spectrum analyzers.
Develop feature test plans and perform end-to-end validation for large-scale wireless software subsystems.
Execute feature validation for development milestones, operator trials, and industry showcases.
Develop and maintain test frameworks, utilities, and automated testing tools.
Create and manage continuous and nightly regression test suites.
Establish hardware, software, and network environments for end-to-end system integration.
Debug complex embedded software and troubleshoot hardware integration issues.
Develop networking diagnostics and data visualization tools to analyze system performance.
Validate next-generation wireless systems using advanced compute, device, and hardware platforms.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming.
Understanding of multi-threading and OS fundamentals.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly.
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or 2 years of experience in an Embedded Software Engineering field (preferred).
Familiarity with Linux based development, release, and deploy environments (preferred).
Experience debugging embedded software and performing end-to-end integration in networked environments (preferred).
Experience developing test frameworks, automating regression tests, and integrating automation into CI/CD workflows (preferred).
