The Wireless Communication Systems Engineer joins the Research and Development team to support the design, implementation, and validation of advanced MANET and MIMO communication systems for mission-critical applications. Perform system design and define technical requirements for wireless communication projects.
Develop, simulate, and characterize algorithms for wireless systems using MATLAB.
Conduct system performance benchmarking, simulation, and testing.
Support FPGA and software teams with fixed-point design, implementation, and testing.
Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams to develop specific products and features.
Manage development schedules and track project tasks to ensure timely completion.
Execute laboratory and field testing while troubleshooting technical issues.

What we're looking for
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to government contract requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with at least three years of experience.
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proficiency in MATLAB for algorithm development, modeling, simulation, and performance analysis.
Experience with wireless communication protocols and modem architecture including PHY, MAC, and higher-layer interactions.
Working knowledge of RF propagation, channel modeling, and wireless channel characteristics.
Solid understanding of digital communication and signal processing techniques such as MIMO, OFDM, and synchronization.
Understanding of RF impairments and their impact on systems, including AGC, phase noise, and IQ imbalance.
