Principal Research & Development Engineer

What you'll do

• Oversee the planning, design, implementation, prototyping, and verification of wireless technology projects.
• Manage overall system design, requirement specifications, and development schedules for R&D programs.
• Perform hands-on design, simulation, and verification work for wireless systems.
• Supervise a team of engineers and participate in the hiring and screening of engineering candidates.
• Prepare technical materials, whitepapers, and proposals for business development and customer engagement.
• Communicate with government and industry partners to pitch future technology enhancements and strategies.
• Define the team-wide technology portfolio and pipeline for larger research projects.

What we're looking for

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related communication and/or engineering technology field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the design and development of wireless systems.
• 5 years of demonstrated experience in technical project leadership.
• Experience participating in the complete technology development cycle from design to field testing.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Proficiency in simulation and prototyping software such as C/C++, MATLAB, and Python (preferred).
• Knowledge of radio frequency propagation, channel modeling, and digital communication (preferred).
• Knowledge of wireless ad-hoc mesh networking, signal processing algorithms, and MIMO (preferred).
