Robotics Engineer Co-op

What you'll do

• Implement trusted safe navigation, collision avoidance, and situational awareness systems for autonomous vehicles.
• Develop scalable sub-systems for sensor processing, perception, tracking, and motion planning.
• Create reusable software components that can be integrated across multiple Anduril product lines.
• Apply computer vision, sensor fusion, and machine learning to enhance vehicle perception and planning.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of algorithms using simulations and real-world data analysis.
• Build and maintain simulation and test infrastructure for autonomous platform development.
• Design and implement interfaces for lower- and higher-level system communications.

What we're looking for

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
• Ability to complete a 16 to 24-week in-person co-op in one of the company's offices in winter 2027.
• Experienced and proficient in C++ and/or Python software development (preferred).
• Familiarity with autonomous vehicle hardware and sensors such as radar, sonar, LIDAR, and cameras (preferred).
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer vision, sensor fusion, SLAM, motion planning, or machine learning (preferred).
• Experience with simulation tools and frameworks such as Gazebo, Unity, or Unreal Engine (preferred).
