What you'll do

  • Design and deliver multi-year software roadmaps for vehicle perception and planning across multiple teams.
  • Architect and implement trusted navigation, collision avoidance, and situational awareness systems for autonomous vehicles.
  • Develop sensor suites, perception algorithms, and motion planning logic to ensure safe vehicle operation.
  • Perform high-impact engineering work across the entire perception and planning stack as a technical lead.
  • Apply advanced computer vision, sensor fusion, and machine learning techniques to enhance vehicle capabilities.
  • Conduct testing and validation of algorithms using simulation tools and real-world data analysis.
  • Define and implement robust validation and verification strategies for all perception and planning modules.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle including requirements definition, system integration, and long-term evolution.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in C++ and/or Python software development.
  • Familiarity with autonomous vehicle hardware and sensors including radar, sonar, LIDAR, and cameras.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in at least one area: computer vision, sensor fusion, SLAM, motion planning, or machine learning.
  • Experience in a senior perception or planning role for the delivery of a robotic system.
  • Ability to act as a technical owner for systems, including stakeholder engagement, roadmap management, and team coordination.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement validation and verification strategies.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
