Senior Robotics Engineer, Undersea Dominance

What you'll do

• Design and implement safe navigation, collision avoidance, and situational awareness systems.
• Develop scalable sub-systems for sensor processing, perception, tracking, and motion planning.
• Create reusable software components for use across multiple Anduril product lines.
• Apply computer vision, sensor fusion, and machine learning to enhance vehicle capabilities.
• Conduct testing and validation of algorithms using simulations and real-world data analysis.
• Act as the technical owner for systems, including roadmap management and requirements definition.
• Define and implement robust validation and verification strategies for perception modules.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python software development.
• Familiarity with autonomous vehicle hardware and sensors such as radar, sonar, LIDAR, and cameras.
• Demonstrated knowledge of at least one of: computer vision, sensor fusion, SLAM, motion planning, or machine learning.
• Experience in a senior perception or planning role for the delivery of a robotic system.
• Capacity to act as a technical owner for a system, including stakeholder engagement, roadmap management, and team coordination.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define validation and verification strategies.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Experience with autonomous systems in the ground, air, maritime, or space domains (preferred).
• Experience with simulation tools and frameworks such as Gazebo, Unity, or Unreal Engine (preferred).
• Knowledge of safety standards and certification processes for autonomous systems (preferred).
• Familiarity with System Engineering concepts (preferred).
