TL;DR · Warfighting Systems Analyst, Maritime

At Anduril, the Warfighting Systems Analyst role is crucial for connecting operational needs with system architecture and technical performance in maritime defense systems. This senior-level position involves analyzing system performance, conducting trade studies, and leveraging high-end models like Lattice Mission Simulation and AFSIM to assess technical alternatives. The analyst will work closely with engineering teams to evaluate platform configurations and communicate how design decisions impact mission outcomes. Key skills include experience with DoD M&S tools, proficiency in C++ or Python for modeling, and the ability to develop analytic products that are accessible to non-specialists. Ideal candidates have an advanced degree in a technical field, 8+ years of relevant experience, and a background in military operations or autonomous systems. This role demands expertise in physics-based models, data analysis, and strong communication skills to ensure Anduril's capabilities meet real-world operational challenges.

What you'll do

  • Analyze system performance and architecture to meet operational mission needs.
  • Translate warfighting requirements into system-level parameters and analytic frameworks.
  • Conduct trade studies comparing alternative system configurations and architectures.
  • Design and execute tactical analysis and wargames to assess autonomous capabilities.
  • Develop physics-based models and relevant operational scenarios for red and blue forces.
  • Assess system-of-systems interactions, integration risks, and mission impacts rigorously.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to demonstrate Anduril's capabilities through data-driven analysis.

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of experience in Operations Research, Systems Analysis (ORSA), or related technical-operational discipline.
  • Experience with tactical experiment and wargaming design, including scenario development and trade-space analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in modeling and simulation for military missions, preferably with red force tactics background.
  • Proficiency with C++ or Python for physics-based modeling and scripting.
  • Ability to connect system performance, architecture, and design choices to mission outcomes effectively.
  • Experience developing analytic products or tools usable by non-M&S specialists.
  • Master's degree in Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related field.
