TL;DR · Warfighting Capability Analyst, Maritime

Warfighting Capability Analyst, Maritime joins the team to bridge the gap between customer needs and engineering execution for unmanned systems in subsurface, surface, land, and air domains. The role involves translating ambiguous mission problems into structured capability gaps, concepts of employment, and decision-quality analysis to inform product strategy. You will conduct mission analyses to identify operational problems, develop use cases, define measures of effectiveness, and create executive-level briefings for internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include analyzing threat environments, force structures, and campaign contexts while evaluating trade-offs in survivability and scalability. The position requires expertise in military planning, defense strategy, mission engineering, and intelligence analysis. Candidates must possess an active U.S. Secret clearance and demonstrate the ability to communicate complex operational ideas clearly across technical and non-technical audiences to ensure technology remains anchored to real warfighting needs.

What you'll do

  • Conduct mission analysis to identify operational problems, capability gaps, and opportunities for differentiated product employment.
  • Develop and refine concepts of operation, use cases, and mission threads for current and future systems.
  • Analyze threat environments, customer missions, and force structures to inform technical capability development.
  • Define measures of effectiveness and performance to establish clear value propositions for proposed capabilities.
  • Translate complex customer needs and mission problems into actionable requirements for engineering and product teams.
  • Create decision-oriented briefings, white papers, and narratives for internal executives and external stakeholders.
  • Support business development by articulating how company technologies solve specific operational problems.
  • Evaluate trade-offs in mission utility, feasibility, scalability, and cost across various capability approaches.

What we're looking for

  • Experience in operational analysis, military planning, capability development, defense strategy, or mission engineering.
  • Ability to decompose ambiguous operational problems into structured analytic questions and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of military missions, operational concepts, threat-informed planning, and technology's role in warfighting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing executive-level briefings and clear narratives.
  • Ability to translate between customer needs, operational requirements, product strategy, and engineering implications.
  • Ability to work across technical, operational, and business stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess and be able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
