VP Senior Application Developer

What you'll do

• Define data, AI platform strategies, and architectures for web applications, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Drive the adoption of cloud-native architectures on AWS using Databricks as a core platform.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards and best practices across web, data, and AI domains.
• Lead the design and development of web-based applications and services using Java and Python.
• Oversee the creation of RESTful APIs and microservices integrated with enterprise data platforms.
• Manage the optimization of batch and streaming data pipelines using Spark and PySpark on AWS.
• Integrate AI/ML tools, feature engineering pipelines, and model inference capabilities into production platforms.
• Ensure all technical solutions comply with enterprise security, governance, and regulatory requirements.

What we're looking for

• Must have 15+ years of experience in software and data engineering.
• Must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Requires hands-on expertise in Java and Python development for web applications, APIs, and services.
• Requires deep experience in large-scale data engineering and cloud-native architectures on AWS.
• Requires significant experience with Databricks (Spark/PySpark) on AWS to manage data and AI platforms.
• Must have practical experience implementing AI/ML tools, MLOps, and model lifecycle management in production environments.
• Preferred candidates should hold Cloud, Databricks, or AI-related certifications.
• Requires strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills within regulated or highly governed environments.
