VP Senior Application Developer

What you'll do

• Define the data and AI platform strategy for web applications, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Drive the adoption of cloud-native, scalable architectures on AWS using Databricks.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards and design patterns across web, data, and AI domains.
• Lead the design and evolution of web-based applications using Java and Python.
• Oversee the development of RESTful APIs, microservices, and UI-driven applications.
• Optimize batch and streaming data pipelines using Spark and PySpark on AWS.
• Integrate AI/ML tools into web and data platforms to enable model inference and feature engineering.
• Ensure all platforms comply with enterprise security, governance, and regulatory requirements.

What we're looking for

• 15+ years of experience in software and data engineering.
• Strong hands-on background in Java and Python development.
• Proven experience leading web-based applications, APIs, and services in enterprise environments.
• Deep experience in data engineering and large-scale platforms.
• Significant experience with Databricks on AWS, including Spark / PySpark.
• Practical experience applying AI/ML tools and techniques in production or enterprise platforms.
• Masters or B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Cloud, Databricks, or AI-related certifications (preferred).
