The VP, Lead Software Engineer will lead a high-performing engineering organization to drive the modernization and strategic evolution of critical Wealth Management and Brokerage platforms. This role oversees more than 20 application teams, focusing on Corporate Actions, Class Actions, and Securities Lending functions. The leader will define multi-year technology roadmaps, transition legacy systems to cloud-native, API-first, and event-driven architectures, and champion AI-assisted software development practices. Key responsibilities include establishing engineering standards for scalability, security, and observability while managing large-scale transformation initiatives. The position requires expertise in .NET, Angular, AWS, Kafka, microservices, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake. The successful candidate will solve complex business problems by delivering scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions through DevSecOps, CI/CD, and domain-driven design principles to support enterprise priorities.
Define and execute multi-year technology roadmaps for Corporate Actions, Class Actions, and Securities Lending platforms.
Lead modernization initiatives to transition legacy systems to cloud-native, API-first, and event-driven architectures.
Establish engineering standards for scalability, resiliency, security, observability, and operational excellence.
Champion AI-assisted software engineering practices across the entire software development lifecycle.
Oversee the delivery of enterprise applications, advisor-facing solutions, and strategic cloud integrations.
Manage technology evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and vendor assessments for internal and external platforms.
Monitor engineering performance through key operational, delivery, reliability, and productivity metrics.
Provide leadership, coaching, and succession planning for distributed engineering teams.
What we're looking for
15+ years of software engineering experience, including progressive leadership responsibility within enterprise technology organizations.
Experience leading large-scale modernization, digital transformation, and enterprise technology delivery programs.
Demonstrated expertise in cloud technologies, distributed systems, API and microservices architecture, DevSecOps practices, and modern software engineering methodologies.
Experience leading large engineering organizations, cross-functional teams, and strategic technology initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and vendor partners.
Experience communicating technology strategy, delivery plans, and business outcomes to executive leadership and senior stakeholders.
Experience supporting Corporate Actions, Class Actions, Securities Lending, Wealth Management, Brokerage Operations, Banking, or Capital Markets platforms (preferred).
Experience implementing AI-enabled engineering practices, generative AI solutions, or agentic development frameworks (preferred).
Expertise with .NET/C#, Angular, AWS, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, event-driven architecture, and domain-driven design principles (preferred).
