JOB TITLE: VP Software Engineering, Asset Management Solutions
The VP Software Engineering, Asset Management Solutions leads the technology strategy, engineering delivery, and modernization for the Asset Management Solutions team. This leader manages an organization of approximately 60–70 engineering professionals while remaining hands-on in platform architecture and delivery decisions. Key responsibilities include transforming legacy applications into an integrated, scalable platform and driving the adoption of AI-enabled tools across the software development lifecycle. The role requires expertise in software architecture, APIs, Kafka, Java, C#, and cloud platforms to ensure reliability, security, and performance. The position addresses the technical challenge of modernizing buy-side OMS and asset management workflows, aligning technology roadmaps with evolving market needs and client expectations through Agile delivery, observability, and production support practices.
Lead, develop, and inspire an organization of 60–70 software engineering professionals and technical leaders.
Define and execute the engineering strategy and technology roadmap for Asset Management Solutions.
Drive the modernization of legacy applications and migrate capabilities to an integrated, scalable platform.
Make hands-on technical decisions regarding application architecture, platform strategy, scalability, and security.
Identify and advance opportunities to embed AI across the software development lifecycle and business solutions.
Establish modern engineering practices for Agile delivery, software quality, release management, and observability.
Set clear performance metrics and delivery governance for engineering quality and platform stability.
Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing engineering talent while fostering a culture of innovation.
What we're looking for
Deep experience in Buy Side OMS and Asset Management.
Significant leadership experience in software engineering, application development, platform engineering, or technology transformation.
Demonstrated success leading engineering organizations of substantial scale, including managers, architects, and software development teams.
Deep technical knowledge of software architecture, enterprise applications, APIs, Kafka, Java, C#, cloud platforms, systems integration, and modern software delivery practices.
Proven experience modernizing legacy applications and migrating technology capabilities to integrated, scalable platforms.
Experience driving technology transformation, organizational change, and adoption of new engineering practices.
Strong understanding of AI adoption, including the use of AI tools across the software development lifecycle and in business-facing technology solutions.
Knowledge of the asset management and buy-side technology landscape, including market trends, workflows, and evolving client needs.
