Vice President, Software Engineering, Customer Communications

What you'll do

• Lead the design, development, and modernization of a next-generation integrated platform for customer communications.
• Oversee data architecture, including data modeling, ETL pipelines, and integration across internal and external systems.
• Define and drive the target architecture for transforming legacy platforms into a scalable, cloud-native ecosystem.
• Champion cloud-native design patterns using AWS services, event-driven architectures, and Kafka.
• Own end-to-end software delivery from strategy and roadmap through implementation, deployment, and ongoing operations.
• Establish engineering best practices for CI/CD, code quality, observability, and operational excellence.
• Lead, inspire, and scale a high-performing global engineering organization by attracting and developing top talent.
• Partner with product management and business leaders to align technology delivery with corporate objectives.

What we're looking for

• 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including senior leadership roles managing large, global teams.
• Proven experience building and modernizing large-scale, enterprise platforms, including transformation of legacy systems.
• Strong development experience with AWS cloud-native services, Kafka, data modeling, and ETL/data ingestion pipelines.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-year transformation initiatives and high-performing, distributed, Agile engineering teams.
• Applied deep AI tooling experience to drive the adoption of AI-assisted development practices.
• Experience with high-volume, mission-critical systems such as transaction processing or financial services platforms (preferred).
• Experience in financial services, capital markets, or regulated environments (preferred).
