As VP, Security Technology (Deputy CISO), you will join the security team to lead, scale, and mature the enterprise security program with a focus on clients, products, applications, suppliers, and growth initiatives. Reporting to the CISO, you will translate security strategy into operational execution while managing complex customer, contractual, regulatory, and business requirements. Your daily responsibilities include overseeing application and product security, identity and access management, and security due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. You will also manage budgets, hire talent, and represent the organization in executive forums. The role requires expertise in governance, risk, compliance, and supplier security within a complex, regulated environment. Key skills include technical credibility, business acumen, and experience with large-scale programs. Preferred qualifications include certifications like CISSP or CISM and experience in healthcare or financial services.
Translate security strategy into operational execution for client-facing and product security capabilities.
Lead customer and supplier security engagements including identity management and application security.
Advise internal executives and customers on security risk, resilience, and contractual requirements.
Manage responses to customer security assessments, questionnaires, and compliance obligations.
Execute security due diligence and integration planning for mergers, acquisitions, and new ventures.
Establish KPIs and KRIs to communicate material risks and support executive decision-making.
Coordinate with customers during security incidents and implement improvements based on lessons learned.
Build and lead a high-performing security organization including budget ownership and talent development.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
15+ years of progressive security and information technology experience.
10+ years leading large-scale teams and enterprise programs.
Demonstrated success leading enterprise security functions in complex, regulated environments.
Significant client-facing experience with the ability to translate technical risk into business terms for executives.
Deep experience in application and product security, identity and access management, GRC, and supplier security.
Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, integrations, joint ventures, or new business launches.
Industry certification such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CRISC, or equivalent (preferred); experience in financial services, healthcare, or international initiatives (preferred).
