VMware Infrastructure Senior Engineer

What you'll do

• Administer and troubleshoot VMware virtual infrastructure including ESXi hosts, vCenter/VCSA, clusters, and virtual machines.
• Perform day-to-day activities such as VM provisioning, host maintenance, migrations, upgrades, and configuration changes.
• Monitor platform health, performance, and capacity to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across compute, virtualization, storage, and network dependencies.
• Automate repeatable infrastructure and operational tasks using Python or other scripting tools.
• Manage incidents, changes, and problems using tools like Jira and ServiceNow.
• Support specific VMware technologies including HCX, vSphere Replication, and Aria Operations.
• Contribute to process improvements to increase platform reliability and reduce manual intervention.

What we're looking for

• 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of hands-on VMware infrastructure engineering, administration, or operations experience in enterprise environments.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server/VCSA.
• 4+ years of experience troubleshooting VMware infrastructure availability, performance, capacity, and configuration issues in production.
• Experience with VMware HCX and vSphere Replication for migration or disaster recovery (preferred).
• Experience with VMware Aria Operations / vRealize Operations for monitoring and capacity management (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience writing Python scripts or infrastructure automation (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience with Jira/Agile workflow management (preferred).
• 1+ year of experience with ServiceNow change, incident, and problem management (preferred).
