As a Senior Infrastructure Architect at VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), you will lead consulting projects focused on deploying and managing VCF private cloud solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with clients to identify opportunities, designing and sizing infrastructure for management components and workload domains, and implementing advanced networking configurations such as NSX microsegmentation and Aria Automation services. You must have extensive experience in vSphere environments, data center networks, and disaster recovery solutions like Site Recovery Manager. Proficiency in tools like SDDC Manager, Aria Operations, and Log Insight is essential. Ideal candidates possess intermediate skills in project management, system design, coding for automation, and infrastructure orchestration, along with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. This role demands strong technical expertise and leadership to drive large-scale IT projects successfully.
Lead consulting projects focused on VMware Cloud Foundation private cloud solutions.
Plan, deploy, manage, and operate VMware Cloud Foundation infrastructure components.
Design and size infrastructure for VCF management components and workload domains.
Assess existing IT environments to provide strategies for VCF consumption.
Install and configure Aria Operations, including dashboards and alerts.
Mentor consultants on VMware Cloud Foundation solutions and best practices.
Resolve complex technical challenges related to multiple VMware products.
What we're looking for
8+ years of experience implementing and configuring vSphere environments
Extensive experience designing, deploying, and configuring NSX with microsegmentation
Hands-on expertise in data center networks including LANs, VLANs, WANs, routers, switches, and firewalls
Proficiency in assessing IT environments to provide strategies for VMware Cloud Foundation consumption
Experience with vSAN clusters, Aria Operations, Log Insight, and disaster recovery solutions using Site Recovery Manager
Ability to lead customer consulting projects as a subject matter expert on VCF private cloud solutions
Valid VCAP-DCV Design and Deploy Certification or equivalent experience in deploying VMware technologies
