As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you will apply deep technical expertise to design, develop, and troubleshoot complex infrastructure solutions. You will drive workstreams to modernize technology processes, architecting and maintaining VMware infrastructure including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi hosts, Horizon, Workspace ONE, App Volumes, and Dynamic Environment Manager. Your daily responsibilities include administering Red Hat OpenShift container platforms, managing Linux and Windows Server environments, and leading automation initiatives using Shell scripting, Terraform, and Ansible. You will utilize enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate analysis and documentation while ensuring security compliance. Key technical requirements include experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Grafana, Splunk, and Active Directory. You will solve problems related to scaling, resilience, and performance within virtualized and bare-metal deployments.
Architect and maintain VMware infrastructure including vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, Horizon, and Workspace ONE.
Administer and optimize Red Hat OpenShift container platforms, including cluster setup and CI/CD integration.
Lead automation initiatives using Shell scripting, Terraform, and Ansible to streamline provisioning and patching.
Support and troubleshoot Linux and Windows Server environments in virtualized and bare-metal deployments.
Drive workstreams to architect and implement changes that modernize organizational technology processes.
Use enterprise-authorized AI to accelerate infrastructure analysis, design documentation, and remediation validation.
Analyze upstream and downstream technical implications to advise on mitigation actions and system resiliency.
Manage network setup, firewall rules, storage configurations, and compliance requirements with cross-functional teams.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Deep knowledge of infrastructure engineering areas such as hardware, networking, databases, storage, deployment, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance.
Deep expertise in VMware technologies and OpenShift administration.
Strong scripting and automation skills using Ansible, Bash, and YAML.
Experience managing, patching, and monitoring Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server environments.
Experience administering Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS services.
Experience with microservices, CI/CD tools, telemetry platforms, DevOps automation, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Ansible.
Experience in Tier 3 data center operations, including air gap connectivity, patching strategies, and audit preparation.
Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for infrastructure workflows with strong validation habits.
Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field (preferred).
Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight (preferred).
