The Visual Tech Systems Project Engineer joins the Camera Engineering team to develop embedded camera and imaging solutions. As an engineering lead, the individual is responsible for the on-time delivery of visual technology IPs, including architecture, systems design, hardware, software, documentation, and tools. The role focuses on meeting power and performance KPIs while ensuring product stability for various business units. Key responsibilities involve managing the IP development life cycle from concept to commercialization. Required expertise includes integrated chipset architecture, systems engineering, and HW/SW design. Preferred skills include digital signal processing, image processing algorithms, color science, image signal processor pipelines, video codecs, and video analytics. The work addresses technical challenges in image processing, video codec architecture, and computer vision to achieve high performance at low power consumption.
Lead the engineering project to ensure on-time delivery of visual technology IPs.
Design the architecture, systems, hardware, software, and documentation for visual technology products.
Ensure all products meet specific power, performance, and stability KPIs.
Develop embedded camera and imaging solutions including image signal processors.
Design visual analytics and video codec IPs for various business units.
Develop advanced algorithms for computer vision and image/video processing.
Manage the full IP development life cycle from initial concept to commercialization.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years’ experience in integrated chipset architecture, systems engineering, or HW/SW design.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software, Hardware, or Systems Engineering experience.
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Software, Hardware, or Systems Engineering experience.
PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software, Hardware, or Systems Engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of the IP development life cycle from concept to commercialization.
Ability to serve as a cross-functional lead working effectively across different teams.
Background in digital signal processing (preferred).
Background in image processing algorithms, color science, ISP pipelines, video codecs, and video analytics (preferred).
