The Camera Systems Engineer joins the Camera Engineering team to research, design, develop, verify, debug, and validate complex camera systems involving hardware and firmware tasks. The role involves working on Image Signal Processors, 3A, Image Quality, features, tuning tools, algorithms, logic design, modeling, and power optimization. You will perform architecture decomposition for hardware development while ensuring image quality, system performance, and ISP area metrics are met. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize camera systems and involves writing detailed technical documentation for complex projects. The role requires proficiency in C, C++, or Python, along with expertise in computer architecture, embedded systems, Image Signal Processing design, and camera hardware or systems design. The work focuses on human and computer vision technologies across mobile, automotive, XR, IoT, and compute product areas.
Research, design, develop, verify, and debug complex camera systems, hardware, and firmware tasks.
Implement and validate Image Signal Processor (ISP) features, 3A functions, and image quality tuning tools.
Perform architecture decomposition to translate complex requirements into specific hardware development specifications.
Optimize system performance, power metrics, and image quality for mobile, automotive, and XR devices.
Develop and optimize camera algorithms and logic designs for various product lines.
Create detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions to guide users and customers.
Address customer and product requirements regarding functionality and results in the imaging space.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of experience in software, hardware, or systems engineering.
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of experience in software, hardware, or systems engineering.
PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
2+ years of experience in programming (e.g., C, C++, Python), computer architecture, or embedded systems (preferred).
2+ years of experience in Image Signal Processing design, development, implementation, and verification (preferred).
2+ years of experience in camera hardware or systems design and optimization (preferred).
