The Camera Systems Engineer joins the Camera Engineering team to research, design, develop, and validate complex camera systems across Mobile, Automotive, XR, IoT, and Compute spaces. This role involves performing architecture, algorithm, and feature decomposition to drive hardware development requirements. Key responsibilities include designing and optimizing Image Signal Processor tasks, 3A, Image Quality features, and tuning tools while ensuring system performance and power metrics are met. The engineer will utilize skills in C, C++, and Python to work on computer architecture, embedded systems, and Image Signal Processing design, development, implementation, and verification. The position requires collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve technical problems in human and computer vision technologies, producing detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions to guide users and customers through complex camera projects.
Research, design, develop, verify, debug, and validate complex camera systems, hardware, and firmware tasks.
Implement and optimize Image Signal Processor (ISP) modules, 3A, and image quality features.
Perform architecture and feature decomposition to drive hardware development requirements and specifications.
Ensure advanced image quality, system performance, and power metrics are met.
Address specific customer and product requirements regarding functionality and results.
Write detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for complex camera projects.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Software, Hardware, or Systems Engineering experience.
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Software, Hardware, or Systems Engineering experience.
PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
2+ years of experience in programming (e.g., C, C++, Python), computer architecture, or embedded systems (preferred).
2+ years of experience in Image Signal Processing design, development, implementation, and verification (preferred).
2+ years of experience in camera hardware or systems design and optimization (preferred).
