Vice President, Utilities Data Owner Lead

What you'll do

• Define and execute the data strategy and roadmap for the Digital Utilities product to deliver governed, reusable data products.
• Partner with product and technology leaders to ensure data is fit for purpose for analytics, machine learning, and generative AI.
• Establish clear metadata, lineage, access rules, and measurement definitions to improve data discoverability and trust.
• Identify and prioritize critical data domains while ensuring they are documented, classified, and accessible.
• Set standards for data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness while coordinating delivery partners to meet quality requirements.
• Manage the full data lifecycle by identifying and mitigating risks related to protection, retention, storage, and usage.
• Drive execution against milestones and KPIs while leading and coaching both direct and matrixed team members.

What we're looking for

• Six years of experience in a data-related field delivering data products, programs, or technology solutions across multiple workstreams.
• Knowledge of data management, engineering, pipelines, modeling, architecture, and governance on cloud platforms or big data technologies.
• Experience with metadata, taxonomy, measurement definitions, data quality practices, access controls, lineage, and fit-for-use standards.
• Experience partnering across multiple functions to deliver outcomes on shared timelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to senior audiences.
• Experience building or governing reusable data products (preferred).
• Working knowledge of SQL, analytics/cloud tools, machine learning, generative AI, or advanced degrees/certifications (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree.
