As a Data Management Lead - Vice President within the Data Strategy Team, you will join the CCOR data management organization to execute strategies that drive business operations and strategic objectives. You will serve as a Data Product Manager, owning data product lines for the CCOR Data Lake by capturing functional requirements, designing products, and overseeing test planning. Your daily work involves mitigating data risks, enhancing data quality, and overseeing the delivery of a central data platform to enable AI/ML, advanced analytics, and automation. You will utilize SQL, Python, and Pyspark to manage large-scale data warehousing projects. Key responsibilities include data modeling, metadata classification, and developing prototypes for data visualization while collaborating with technology partners to ensure data serves as a trusted asset for innovation.

What you'll do

  • Own data product lines by capturing functional requirements, designing products, and overseeing test planning and delivery.
  • Manage project execution by identifying and mitigating risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies throughout the initiative lifecycle.
  • Ensure critical data is well-documented with metadata and classified correctly to enable understanding and control.
  • Develop processes to monitor and mitigate data risks regarding protection, retention, storage, use, and quality.
  • Partner with technology teams to design and develop tools for effective data management and governance.
  • Develop prototypes for data visualization, analytics, and automation in partnership with digital teams.
  • Resolve data issues promptly to maintain data integrity and consumer trust across the organization.
  • Manage and guide direct or matrixed staff in executing data-related tasks and strategic initiatives.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data management, data governance, risk management/analytics, or a related field.
  • Proven leadership track record with the ability to manage delivery timelines and mentor cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth understanding of data management principles, governance frameworks, lifecycle management, data protection, quality, and classification.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to translate complex data concepts into business strategies.
  • Strong communication skills to convey data concepts to technical, non-technical, and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working on large-scale data lake or data-warehousing projects.
  • Knowledge of data modeling techniques, SQL, Python, and Pyspark.
  • Experience with Tableau, QlikView, Thoughtspot, or other reporting and analytics tools (preferred).
  • Experience with AI/ML techniques (preferred).
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred).
