Vice President, Data Architecture

What you'll do

• Define and evangelize the data architecture strategy to align technical direction with business objectives.
• Establish architecture governance, design patterns, and standards for scalable, AI-ready data platforms.
• Translate complex business requirements into actionable architectural roadmaps and delivery plans with stakeholders.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data architects through career development and coaching.
• Design and optimize enterprise-scale data platforms using cloud-native patterns and polyglot persistence strategies.
• Create reference architectures and accelerators to reduce time to market while ensuring security and performance.
• Lead technical deep dives and design reviews to validate solutions against scalability, security, and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to critical implementations through hands-on design, prototyping, and code contributions.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field required.
• Master's degree or MBA preferred.
• Advanced degrees or certifications in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Systems Engineering preferred.
• 5 years of experience leading, mentoring, and developing technical teams.
• Executive-level communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into business language for senior audiences.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, Python, Scala, and Java.
• Deep experience with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS cloud-native services.
• Expertise in DataOps, infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation), and CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
