As a Data Owner Lead within the Chief Data & Analytics Office, you will drive data strategies that align with business operations while fostering a data-driven culture. You will manage project execution to deliver high-quality, reusable data products by integrating multiple sources and ensuring semantic consistency, documentation, and lifecycle management. Your daily work involves collaborating with cross-functional teams in Technology, Analytics, and Risk to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance. You will define requirements for data sourcing, mapping, and transformation logic while managing metadata and quality rules. The role requires expertise in data governance frameworks, information architecture, and the development of feature-ready products for machine learning use cases. Key skills include proficiency in SQL, experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, and utilizing LLM tooling to automate governance activities such as metadata drafting and control evidence generation.
Deliver high-quality data products by integrating multiple sources into curated, reusable datasets for analytics and reporting.
Document and classify critical data with actionable metadata, including business definitions, lineage, and quality rules.
Define requirements for data sourcing, transformation logic, and reconciliation to support diverse use cases.
Manage the full data lifecycle by implementing controls for security, privacy, retention, and automated quality monitoring.
Resolve data integrity issues through root-cause analysis and the implementation of preventative controls.
Utilize AI/ML and LLM tools to automate governance tasks like metadata drafting and control evidence generation.
Translate complex consumer needs into clear technical requirements and measurable outcomes for data products.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or equivalent professional experience.
Five years of experience in data management, data governance, or risk management/analytics.
Demonstrated experience delivering or partnering on the delivery of data products or curated datasets that integrate multiple sources for enterprise consumption.
Proven leadership track record with the ability to manage delivery timelines and cross-functional teams.
In-depth understanding of data management principles, governance frameworks, and the data development lifecycle.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to translate consumer needs into clear data requirements, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
Experience with cloud platforms, advanced analytics/AI, query languages (SQL), or data product management (preferred).
