Vice President, Data Governance

What you'll do

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data-use cases including intake, classification, review, decisioning, and monitoring.
• Lead governance routines and forums to drive timely decisions and improve transparency across global business lines.
• Develop execution plans for strategic initiatives that balance innovation with robust risk controls.
• Modernize and scale governance processes and decision workflows to ensure consistency and speed.
• Translate complex data governance and risk topics into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
• Drive transformation programs from initial concept through implementation, adoption, and change management.
• Maintain a centralized inventory of internal and third-party data use to support informed decision-making.
• Implement risk-based frameworks and standards to ensure consistent identification and escalation of data risks.

What we're looking for

• 10 years of financial services experience with depth in data governance, risk management, and controls.
• Experience managing and developing small to mid-sized teams.
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution.
• Executive presence with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders across diverse functions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating senior-ready materials.
• Strong organizational skills to manage priorities across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience in global investment banking, data quality, or risk-based governance frameworks (preferred).
