The (USA) Senior Director, Technology Operations joins the Walmart Claims Services team to lead technology operations and strategy. This role focuses on ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of critical business platforms that power claims management and risk-related services. You will develop technology roadmaps, manage vendor relationships, and lead cross-functional initiatives to modernize technology and improve workflows. Key responsibilities include translating business problems into scalable solutions, driving system integrations, and overseeing process transformations. You will utilize data, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities to drive operational excellence. Required skills include experience with Generative AI tools like Copilot, Wibey, Code Puppy, Semantic Search, RAG, and LLMs. You must demonstrate proficiency in systems implementation, governance, compliance, risk management, and executive communication within a complex technology ecosystem.
Lead the support, optimization, and continuous improvement of core business platforms and technology solutions.
Develop and execute technology strategies, roadmaps, and transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
Translate business problems into technology solutions by partnering with Product, Engineering, Data, and vendor teams.
Drive system integrations, process improvements, and AI-enabled capabilities to create a connected technology ecosystem.
Lead complex cross-functional initiatives by establishing delivery plans, success measures, and risk mitigation strategies.
Manage vendor relationships and oversee system enhancements, issue resolution, and compliance requirements.
Leverage data and analytics to support decision-making and communicate progress and risks to senior leadership.
What we're looking for
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in a related field and 7 years of experience in project management, program management, program operations, or a related area.
Option 2: 9 years of experience in project management, program management, program operations, or a related area.
4 years of supervisory experience.
7+ years of experience in technology operations, business strategy, transformation, consulting, PMO, systems implementation, or related cross-functional leadership roles.
Experience leading complex initiatives involving system implementation, platform support, process transformation, vendor management, or ecosystem integration.
Hands-on experience with Generative AI tools and platforms or the ability to quickly learn and apply emerging technologies.
Strong understanding of technology operations, systems integration, governance, compliance, and risk management principles.
Master’s degree in a related field and 6 years of experience in project management, program management, or program operations (preferred).
Knowledge of implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies (preferred).
