JOB TITLE: (USA) Manager, Technology Operations The Manager, Data Governance joins the Data Governance team to implement and operationalize the data governance program for Walmart Claims Services. This role involves partnering across business, Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Data teams to establish governance standards, improve data quality, and enable compliant data access and sharing. Key responsibilities include managing metadata, business glossaries, and the Enterprise Data Portal while providing governance for sensitive and regulated data. The successful candidate will deliver governance training, track KPIs, and drive continuous improvement. Required competencies include experience with data stewardship practices, metadata management, and governance frameworks. The role specifically addresses regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and GDPR to ensure trusted, secure, and business-ready data supports informed decision-making and the delivery of high-value data products within the claims services domain.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

Obtain a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 years of experience in project or program management.
Obtain 5 years of experience in project management, program management, or program operations.
Experience implementing data governance and stewardship practices.
Strong understanding of data quality, metadata management, and governance frameworks.
Knowledge of data access, privacy, and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and GDPR.
Ability to collaborate across business, Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Master’s degree in a related field (preferred).
