UAS Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Write and maintain clean, well-documented, and efficient code for embedded systems.
• Debug and test large software codebases within a multi-developer team environment.
• Conduct developmental testing to identify and resolve software issues.
• Support software development activities for UAS platforms from prototyping to field evaluation.
• Build software solutions that meet specific product requirements and real-world challenges.
• Integrate software, sensors, and payloads into uncrewed aircraft systems.
• Perform electrical analysis and wire harness design for aerospace platforms.
• Develop software control programs for electromechanical devices and autonomous vehicles.

What we're looking for

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace engineering, or a related field.
• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret DoD security clearance.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, MATLAB, and JavaScript.
• Experience with embedded systems for autonomous vehicles.
• Strong understanding of software engineering concepts including data structures, algorithms, analysis, optimization, and testing.
• Knowledge of applied mathematics, differential equations, linear algebra, and statistics.
• Ability to communicate effectively in an engineering environment and document work for others.
• Hands-on experience writing code to control physical devices from development to deployment (preferred).
