What you'll do

Manage the Graviton bare-metal virtualization layer including KVM/QEMU VM management and health monitoring.
Develop embedded software in Rust, C, or C++ for the virtualization and emulation layers.
Write device drivers and system applications for satellite systems running on virtual hardware.
Build and maintain custom AMI pipelines to pre-configure satellite dependencies and reduce provisioning time.
Develop and optimize scripts to deploy firmware, certificates, and images onto emulated LRUs via SSM.
Implement plugin framework extensions for various satellite components like GGMAs and customer terminals.
Build network virtualization between VMs using WireGuard tunnels and other link emulation techniques.
Improve simulation fidelity by developing HSM crypto emulation, CAN bus simulation, and error injection frameworks.

What we're looking for

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
Experience with Linux systems programming using C, Rust, Python, or Bash.
Experience with virtualization or emulation technologies such as KVM, QEMU, or Docker.
Familiarity with embedded Linux including boot processes, systemd, device drivers, or Yocto/Buildroot.
Experience with shell scripting and system automation.
Preferred qualifications include experience with ARM64 architecture, QEMU device emulation, and network virtualization.
