What you'll do

  • Develop highly reliable software solutions used across various SpaceX operations and flight systems.
  • Create new applications to improve internal operational efficiency and manufacturing processes.
  • Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
  • Take full ownership of all aspects of software engineering and product development.
  • Analyze user problems deeply to engineer and implement efficient technical solutions.
  • Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews to ensure system integrity.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline is required, or 2+ years of professional software experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in full stack development is required.
  • Experience with object-oriented languages such as Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, or Java is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience building single page web applications is preferred.
  • Proficiency in software systems design, testing, CI/CD, and performance profiling is preferred.
  • Experience with build systems, package management tools, and UNIX-like operating systems is preferred.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, front-end frameworks (Angular, React), and databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) is preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to meet ITAR export control requirements.
