The Trade Desk Specialist role involves providing customer support and production level operational oversight for real-time low latency Cboe exchange trading platforms. Working within the operations team, the specialist monitors systems across various asset classes, including equities, foreign currencies, futures, and options. Key responsibilities include performing daily system checks, reviewing audit logs, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and conducting root cause analysis. The role requires acting as a liaison between global banks, buy side firms, and internal software engineers to define new features and manage equity listing processes. Candidates must utilize SQL for data mining, UNIX shell for examining log files, and Agile Development Methodology. The position addresses the technical challenge of maintaining healthy trading infrastructure, managing order routing changes, and providing API certification testing and support for market data and order entry.
Provide customer support and training on platform behavior, order processing, and market structure.
Monitor production systems and perform daily checks to ensure platform health and resolve known issues.
Execute exchange platform tasks including order cancellations, trade reviews, and settlement price verifications.
Liaise with software engineers to define, design, and test new features and system functionalities.
Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for complex technical issues and API-related problems.
Use SQL and UNIX shell to mine data, examine logs, and generate reports for business teams.
Onboard new clients by provisioning services, establishing access, and conducting API certification testing.
Update internal technical procedures and draft technical notices within the team's documentation space.
What we're looking for
High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational School certificate is required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Business, Financial Services, Communications, or a related discipline (preferred).
Must possess FINRA Security Industry Essentials Examination (SIE) and Series 57 licenses or the ability to obtain them within 8 months.
At least 3-5 years of experience in a security-related or technical support position.
At least 2+ years of experience with UNIX Shell.
At least 2+ years of experience with SQL.
At least 2+ years of experience with Agile Development Methodology.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
