What you'll do

Design and implement advanced object tracking and state estimation algorithms for space missions.
Develop multi-target tracking systems using JPDA, MHT, and other data association techniques.
Build physics-based models to validate performance through simulation and testing.
Transition MATLAB/Python prototypes into optimized C/C++ code for real-time operational use.
Conduct performance analysis under challenging conditions like maneuvering targets and clutter.
Collaborate with software engineers to integrate tracking algorithms into operational systems.
Support the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements decomposition and design reviews.

What we're looking for

Secret security clearance and Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field
5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and testing multi-target tracking algorithms
Expertise in state estimation techniques including Kalman Filters (EKF, UKF) and IMM filters
Proficiency in MATLAB and Python with experience transitioning algorithms to C++ for production
Experience with modeling, simulation, and testing workflows including Monte Carlo analysis
Ability to collaborate with software engineers and integrate tracking algorithms into operational systems
