What you'll do

Execute defined thermal operational responses including load switch resets and mode transitions.
Monitor and assess thermal system health across the constellation using telemetry data and automated dashboards.
Investigate and troubleshoot in-flight thermal anomalies such as heater failures or temperature excursions.
Develop and maintain automated scripts, alerting systems, and telemetry analysis tools using Python or similar languages.
Identify and mitigate thermal operational risks while improving system concepts of operations.
Document operational instructions and procedures to ensure consistent mission execution.
Provide on-call support and participate in launch activities outside of standard business hours.

What we're looking for

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
Bachelor's degree required.
3+ years of industry work experience in thermal engineering, spacecraft operations, or systems engineering.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python.
Experience with version control systems, real-time system monitoring, and data analysis tools.
Familiarity with the fundamentals of heat transfer and thermodynamics.
Ability to work flexible shifts for launch support and participate in rotating on-call rotations.
Preferred: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field; experience with spacecraft thermal control systems, orbit mechanics, and automated monitoring systems.
