JOB TITLE: Theorem Proving Engineer The Theorem Proving Engineer works with designers and verification engineers across various projects to enable verification methodologies. The role involves analyzing new data path RTL designs and underlying algorithms to develop abstract C models. Key responsibilities include establishing equivalence between RTL and C using a commercial checker called SLEC, and formally verifying the correctness of these models against high-level architectural specifications using the ACL2 theorem prover. The engineer will also contribute to verification infrastructure by improving interfaces with SLEC and ACL2 while exploring interactive theorem proving applications for other processor components. Required skills include a Master's or PhD in Computer Science or Mathematics, rigorous mathematical reasoning, floating-point arithmetic knowledge, C programming, and basic Verilog reading. The work focuses on CPU and GPU microarchitecture, including out-of-order execution and memory systems.
