As a Test Engineer Associate on the eMedNY Systems Integration Team, you will ensure the systemic integrity of the New York State Department of Health Medicaid Management Information System. You will work with manual testing tools and may utilize COBOL, CICS, and web-based interface testing. What you'll do

Provide effort and duration estimates for testing phases within the software development life cycle.
Design and develop integration test plans while identifying regression test scenarios.
Execute test cases and scenarios for complex applications and processes.
Capture integration test results and generate formal documentation for stakeholders.
Review test result documentation with customers and other project stakeholders.
Perform research activities and ad hoc testing as assigned by the team.
Assist in production support activities and other required technical tasks.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related discipline.
Experience with RDBMS and Document-oriented databases.
Proficiency with SQL tools, specifically QMF and Redash.
Working knowledge of healthcare.
Understanding of Waterfall and Agile SDLC methodologies.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with customers and team members.
Knowledge of mainframe technologies such as COBOL and CICS (preferred).
Experience with MMIS, web-based user interfaces, and APIs/Web services (preferred).
