As a Senior Test Engineer, you will join a cross-functional team to support the Unified Case Management system for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. You will serve as a software automation tester responsible for validating interactive and dynamic user-interface solutions designed to enhance investigative capabilities against fraud, waste, and abuse. Your daily responsibilities include executing risk-based test coverage, performing functional, non-functional, regression, and performance testing, and conducting root cause analysis on defects. You will also provide technical support for UAT testing and manage the lifecycle of software implementation processes within a SAFe scrum environment. To succeed, you must utilize PostgreSQL or SQL query writing, AI prompting tools like Copilot or Claude, and automation frameworks such as CodeCept, JavaScript, or Playwright to validate front-end web applications, back-end data, and reporting or ETL systems.

What you'll do

Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools like CodeCept, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
Validate front-end web application functionality, back-end data, and reporting/ETL processes.
Write and modify PostgreSQL or SQL queries to perform data validation and testing.
Perform functional, non-functional, regression, system, and performance testing on software solutions.
Conduct root cause analysis for defects and document results in tracking tools like JIRA or TestRail.
Provide technical support to customers during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Analyze and communicate complex business processes as they relate to the testing lifecycle.
Utilize AI tools such as Copilot or Claude to enhance testing workflows and development.

What we're looking for

Must have a Bachelor's degree.
Must have 5+ years of relevant manual and automated Software Quality Assurance experience.
Must be able to obtain a Public Trust (NACI T1) clearance.
Must have lived in the United States at least three out of the last five years.
Ability to write and modify PostgreSQL or SQL scripts for testing.
Experience with CodeCept, JavaScript, Playwright, or similar automation tools and frameworks.
Experience using AI tools such as Copilot or Claude.
Experience testing systems with complex data, workflow structures, ETL, reporting, or APIs.
