The Automated Test Engineer joins the professional engineering team to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of mission-critical government systems. In this role, you will lead the development of robust automated test suites, collaborating with a cross-functional Agile team of software developers and system engineers. You will design, write, and maintain high-quality, scalable automated UI and API test scripts to validate functional enhancements and support the modernization of authoring and dissemination tools. Key technical requirements include proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Cypress, along with experience in API testing, Git version control, and tools like Jira and Confluence. You will troubleshoot failures, document defects, and analyze metrics while working within a domain involving government agency reporting and dissemination policies to solve complex technical problems.
Lead the development of robust automated test suites for mission-critical systems.
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable automated UI and API test scripts.
Execute automated test suites and analyze results to ensure system reliability.
Troubleshoot test failures and comprehensively document defects and testing metrics.
Validate functional enhancements for authoring and dissemination tools using Agile methodologies.
Develop test scripts using JavaScript or TypeScript for web applications and RESTful microservices.
Manage version control for test scripts using Git.

What we're looking for
Must possess a Top Secret SCI with Polygraph clearance.
Must be a US citizen.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline.
Must have 15+ years of related experience.
Must have proven experience designing, writing, and maintaining automated tests using Cypress.
Must have experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, API testing, and UI automation testing.
Must have experience with Git version control and Agile methodologies using tools like Jira and Confluence.
