What you'll do

Operate and support IBM MQ environments across development, testing, and production environments.
Implement AI-driven solutions for log/metric correlation, anomaly detection, and forecasting within the IBM MQ estate.
Execute technical troubleshooting and design creative solutions for infrastructure problems of moderate complexity.
Support resilience objectives through disaster recovery planning, coordination, and validation activities.
Apply reliability engineering practices to define service health indicators and improve time-to-detect/time-to-recover metrics.
Reduce operational toil by creating automated scripts, self-service workflows, and repeatable change executions.
Maintain clear operational runbooks and standards for a geographically distributed operations model.
Provide technical guidance to application teams regarding MQ connection patterns, security constraints, and best practices.

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services.
Demonstrated experience delivering AI-driven solutions to manage a large IBM MQ estate.
Experience managing applications or infrastructure in a large-scale environment on premises and in public cloud.
Proficiency in observability and monitoring tools and techniques.
Experience executing processes within the ITIL framework.
Hands-on experience operating middleware in enterprise production environments, including IBM MQ administration and incident response.
Working knowledge of Unix and/or Windows system administration, including process, filesystem, certificate stores, and networking fundamentals.
Knowledge of Python, Java, or automation scripting (preferred); practical experience with public cloud (preferred).
