What you'll do

Operate and support IBM MQ environments across development, testing, and production environments.
Architect and implement technical changes to modernize organizational technology processes.
Support resilience objectives through disaster recovery planning and reliability engineering practices.
Reduce operational toil through automation, scripted remediation, and self-service workflows.
Maintain clear operational runbooks, standards, and controls for a distributed operations model.
Provide technical guidance to application teams regarding MQ integration and security constraints.
Institutionalize post-incident learning by contributing to blameless reviews and tracking corrective actions.
Participate in a 24x7 follow-the-sun operating model including on-call and incident response.

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services.
Deep knowledge of one or more infrastructure engineering areas such as hardware, networking, databases, storage, or deployment practices.
Deep knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and scripting languages like Python.
Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds.
Demonstrated, hands-on experience operating middleware in enterprise production environments, including IBM MQ administration and incident response.
Working knowledge of Unix and/or Windows system administration, including processes, filesystem, certificate stores, and networking fundamentals.
Experience executing on processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework.
Working knowledge in one or more general purpose programming languages such as Python, Java, or automation scripting (preferred).
