Lead Infrastructure Engineer, MQ Series

What you'll do

• Operate and support IBM MQ environments across different stages to ensure service availability.
• Implement disaster recovery plans and conduct testing for sustained resilience coordination.
• Define and improve health indicators, operational thresholds, and alerting systems for reliability engineering.
• Automate remediation scripts and create self-service operational workflows to reduce manual effort.
• Provide technical guidance on connection patterns, security constraints, and best practices for MQ integration.
• Maintain clear runbooks and standards enabling consistent execution in a geographically distributed model.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience in troubleshooting and maintaining IT services.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure engineering areas such as hardware, networking, databases, storage, deployment practices, automation, and cloud technologies.
• Expertise in IBM MQ administration and incident response in secure environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach to troubleshooting under time pressure.
• Working knowledge of Unix or Windows system administration relevant to MQ connectivity.
• Experience executing processes within the ITIL framework for information technology services.
