- Define and own the enterprise strategy for logs, metrics, traces, events, and digital experience monitoring.
- Establish observability as an enterprise service with clear standards, support models, and adoption requirements.
- Lead the engineering of modern telemetry pipelines using OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and log aggregation.
- Manage event management systems including detection, correlation, noise reduction, and automated response.
- Implement AIOps capabilities to improve signal-to-noise ratios and accelerate root-cause identification.
- Drive automation-first approaches for alerting, remediation, and event routing across all platforms.
- Lead tool selection, roadmap development, and vendor management for observability and event platforms.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers focused on delivering enterprise observability services.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Business Administration with 9 years experience, Master’s with 8 years, or PhD with 4 years.
- Deep expertise in observability and monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Grafana, or SolarWinds.
- Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, and telemetry standards.
- Hands-on experience with event correlation, AIOps, and automation frameworks.
- Demonstrated proficiency in ITIL Event Management, Incident Management, and Operations Control.
- Proven ability to translate telemetry into insights for both engineering and leadership audiences.
- Exceptional communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and translate customer needs into product roadmap offerings.
