What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot software components for monitoring and observability solutions.
  • Configure and optimize monitoring, alerting, and event management systems to reduce alert noise.
  • Instrument services to standardize telemetry including metrics, logs, traces, and events.
  • Build and run observability solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Deliver operational insights through dashboards, visualizations, and performance analysis.
  • Write secure, high-quality code using modern programming languages with limited guidance.
  • Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity.
  • Automate observability-as-code and integrations to enable self-service for engineering teams.

What we're looking for

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
  • Experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Monitoring, or Observability-related roles.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, or similar.
  • Experience with one or more observability or monitoring platforms including Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, and/or Datadog.
  • Experience working with telemetry concepts including metrics, logs, traces, and alerting.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, distributed systems, and modern application architectures.
  • Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and understanding of responsible AI use.
  • Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Knowledge of monitoring standards, telemetry governance, and observability frameworks (preferred).
  • Experience with automation, Infrastructure as Code, or platform engineering practices (preferred).
  • Exposure to AI-assisted analytics, anomaly detection, or operational intelligence capabilities (preferred).
  • Experience building dashboards, observability reports, and operational analytics solutions (preferred).
