What you'll do

  • Lead design updates for manufacturability, process flow development, and equipment qualification to support mass production.
  • Collaborate with international suppliers to develop assembly fixtures and evaluate product performance using statistical data analysis.
  • Execute process, equipment, and design trials to optimize manufacturing for high-volume production.
  • Identify, prioritize, and mitigate technical risks in partnership with Engineering and Operations teams.
  • Act as the technical lead to resolve complex issues and report status to leadership to influence decisions.
  • Manage international supply chain execution through meetings, documentation, and on-site support.
  • Facilitate production process documentation and validation to enable successful product ramp-up.
  • Innovate factory processes and designs to support smart manufacturing and green manufacturing initiatives.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with design and/or manufacturing process development.
  • Expertise in at least one area: metal forming, molding, pick and place, glue dispensing, laser welding, coil winding, heat pressing, soldering, additive manufacturing, machine learning, or fixture fabrication.
  • Experience using Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis based on Six Sigma principles for product design and assembly drawings.
  • Experience with process control methodologies, PFMEA, and in-depth failure analysis methods.
  • Experience simulating line throughput and resolving bottlenecks for high-volume mass production.
  • Demonstrated program management skills including schedule management, risk management, and communication.
  • Proven track record of leading multi-functional teams to achieve quality, yield, and cost objectives.
  • A degree in engineering (Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial) or a graduate degree in supply chain/operations is preferred.
