What you'll do

  • Design comprehensive training frameworks and curricula for technical engineers from onboarding through advanced proficiency.
  • Create scalable learning artifacts including runbooks, SOPs, work instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Conduct hands-on technical training across diverse products while adapting methods to various learner needs.
  • Rapidly master new hardware, software, and networking systems to serve as a subject matter expert.
  • Develop and maintain structured knowledge management systems to capture institutional knowledge and prevent information gaps.
  • Perform gap analyses to identify workforce skill deficiencies and develop data-driven training plans.
  • Track and measure training effectiveness through metrics like deployment quality and troubleshooting speed.
  • Integrate real-time field insights and after-action reviews into ongoing training content updates.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in technical field operations, deployed software engineering, or technical hands-on operational roles.
  • Proven track record of becoming a subject matter expert on a system and sharing that knowledge with others.
  • Ability to deliver training to groups and individuals at varying skill levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to rapidly learn complex technical systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally for training delivery and field support.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to support the handling and working with munitions.
  • Ability to meet specific health and medical requirements for deployments as outlined by applicable regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software, Technology, or related technical field (preferred).
  • Experience with defense systems, autonomous platforms, or complex hardware/software integration (preferred).
  • Experience establishing training standards, certification programs, or competency frameworks (preferred).
  • Prior military instructor experience or equivalent technical training roles (preferred).
  • Strong instructional design skills to create engaging learning experiences for diverse audiences (preferred).
  • Experience as a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (preferred).
