Technical Manager, Systems Engineering

What you'll do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of systems engineers supporting defense and aerospace programs.
• Ensure technical execution aligns with customer requirements, program costs, schedules, and contract deliverables.
• Support major program reviews and milestone events such as SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and PRR.
• Manage staffing, workload planning, performance management, and succession planning for the engineering organization.
• Support proposal efforts including technical volume development, basis of estimate preparation, and capture activities.
• Identify and mitigate technical, programmatic, and integration risks across complex system-of-systems environments.
• Promote continuous improvement in systems engineering processes, digital engineering practices, and MBSE adoption.
• Serve as a primary interface to customers, suppliers, and senior leadership on technical issues and program status.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience, a graduate degree with 10 years, or 16 years of experience without a degree.
• At least 9 years of progressive engineering experience in defense, aerospace, or other complex regulated environments.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing technical teams or engineering organizations.
• Ability to obtain a secret security clearance.
• Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related discipline (preferred).
• Active security clearance (preferred).
• Familiarity with model-based systems engineering tools and methods (preferred).
• U.S. citizens.
