What you'll do

Lead and mentor a team of individual contributors focused on growth and development.
Contribute directly to the code, design, and architecture of distributed systems.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define product roadmaps and offerings.
Resolve technical issues for customers and support engineers as part of an on-call rotation.
Establish and maintain engineering best practices and design principles for the codebase.
Manage the growth and scaling of the new Dublin-based Data Federation & Archiving team.

What we're looking for

Must have at least 6 years of professional software development experience.
Must have at least 3 years of people management experience.
Experience leading engineering teams that build and maintain large-scale systems is required.
Proficiency in writing distributed backend systems in a compiled language like Go, Java, or C# is required.
Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud storage primitives is required.
Hands-on experience with petabyte-scale data infrastructure or storage systems is required.
Must possess excellent communication skills and a collaborative, motivated mindset.
Candidate must be based in Dublin for a hybrid or in-office working model.
