As a Tech Risk and Controls Lead within Corporate – Employee Platforms, you will join the Employee Platforms Resiliency organization to protect firm assets and strengthen operational excellence through technology, business, and operational resiliency. You will govern compliance with resiliency control objectives while advancing strategies for critical business services to withstand disruptions. Your daily work involves managing technology risk, performing root-cause analysis, and overseeing recovery planning across cyber, cloud, and infrastructure components. You will lead the Permit-to-Operate process by partnering with Engineering, Architecture, Product, and SRE teams to ensure availability and fault tolerance before production. To achieve these goals, you will utilize tools like Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and VS Code while leveraging AI and automation for risk management. Your role focuses on solving complex problems regarding recovery planning, regulatory compliance, and data-driven risk mitigation.
Identify, quantify, and manage technology risks through root-cause analysis and control-gap assessments.
Execute resiliency governance across technology recovery, cyber recovery, cloud infrastructure, and business service readiness.
Manage the Permit-to-Operate (PTX) process to ensure requirements are met before systems go into production.
Oversee recovery planning, testing, and documentation for applications, platforms, and components.
Provide executive reporting on control effectiveness, risk posture, and compliance metrics.
Support regulatory, audit, and control reviews while managing the remediation of resiliency findings.
Automate and simplify recurring control testing and evidence collection through data-driven insights and AI tools.
Coach and mentor technical leaders to evolve resiliency into a predictive and automated capability.
What we're looking for
5+ years of experience in technology risk management, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, or risk mitigation.
Experience in technology/business resiliency, disaster recovery, infrastructure/platform engineering, SRE, cloud engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong knowledge of resiliency frameworks, recovery planning, operational resiliency, risk management, control governance, and testing methodologies.
Proven success leading complex cross-functional programs, initiatives, or governance functions with executive visibility.
Demonstrated ability to influence and build partnerships across Engineering, Architecture, Product, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Operations, Risk, and Business organizations.
Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
Experience using metrics, data analytics, and executive reporting to drive organizational improvement and resiliency outcomes.
