As a Tech Risk and Controls professional, you will join the team to identify and mitigate AI/ML compliance and operational risks while providing technical guidance to process owners. You will be responsible for ensuring that implemented controls operate effectively in alignment with regulatory, legal, and industry standards. Your daily work involves monitoring control effectiveness, performing root cause analysis, and reporting on risk posture to senior management. You will build and maintain cross-functional relationships with product owners and data officers to drive innovation within the AI/ML product line. The role requires expertise in cloud environments using AWS and Azure, as well as proficiency with frameworks like NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, and ISO/IEC 27001. You will also manage compliance for standards including PCI DSS, SOX, SOC1, and GDPR while protecting sensitive financial data.
Identify and mitigate AI/ML compliance and operational risks in alignment with firm standards.
Provide technical guidance to process owners to ensure controls meet regulatory and legal requirements.
Design, implement, and monitor security and governance controls for AI/ML systems on AWS and Azure.
Conduct root cause analysis of cloud and AI/ML risks to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
Perform risk assessments and evaluate control effectiveness for systems processing sensitive financial data.
Provide executive reporting on risk metrics, policy management, and control effectiveness to senior leadership.
Coordinate internal and external compliance audits including PCI DSS, SOX, and SOC 1.
Translate complex technology risk insights into actionable business strategies for senior management.
What we're looking for
Master's degree in a relevant technical field plus 4 years of experience in technology risk or security roles.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field plus 6 years of experience in technology risk or security roles.
Experience applying advanced risk management principles to identify and mitigate risks in Cloud and AI/ML environments within financial services.
Experience designing, implementing, and monitoring security controls for AWS and Azure systems aligned with NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, and ISO/IEC 27001.
Experience ensuring compliance with regulatory standards including PCI DSS, SOX, SOC1, and GDPR.
Experience conducting root cause analysis and developing risk mitigation strategies for Cloud and AI/ML systems.
Experience performing data security risk assessments and evaluating control effectiveness for systems processing sensitive financial data.
Experience providing executive reporting on risk metrics and translating complex technical risks into actionable business strategies.
