Tech Lead Manager, AI & App Experience

What you'll do

• Manage a squad of 4-5 engineers through hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.
• Own end-to-end delivery for the squad, including sprint planning, service SLAs, and operational health.
• Write and ship production code while establishing technical direction and quality standards for the team.
• Integrate AI coding tools and practices to increase engineering leverage and output across the squad.
• Lead the design and delivery of LLM-powered features, ensuring reliability through guardrails and observability.
• Partner with cross-functional teams like Product and Design on scope, prioritization, and quarterly planning.
• Identify technical debt and advocate for sustainable engineering while maintaining a healthy on-call culture.

What we're looking for

• You must have at least 2 years of experience in people management responsibilities.
• You must possess current, hands-on coding abilities to write and ship production code.
• You should have a track record of using AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
• You must demonstrate AI-native fluency by building with LLMs and fostering these practices across your team.
• You should be familiar with the challenges of shipping LLM-powered products, including agents, evals, and guardrails.
• You must have experience coaching team members on project execution, skill development, and career progression.
• You should possess strong cross-functional collaboration skills to partner with Product, Design, and Data Science teams.
• You should have experience with Python, Ruby, React Native, Distributed Systems, AWS services, and Service Oriented Architectures.
