Senior AI Software Engineer, App Intelligence

What you'll do

• Lead the design and development of software features that enable end-to-end app experiences in Siri.
• Develop ML models and AI-driven algorithms to enhance app capabilities and Siri integration.
• Run large-scale experiments on complex datasets to evaluate models and algorithms for app intelligence.
• Research and design performant modeling approaches for both on-device and cloud environments.
• Implement high-performance, debuggable code while maintaining strict on-device latency, memory, and power budgets.
• Diagnose failures in end-to-end app experiences and convert them into measurable quality improvements.
• Contribute to shared evaluation and telemetry loops to measure and prove improvements in user outcomes.
• Design interfaces and architectural choices for the software stack to support ML and AI features.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, EE, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in developing ML / AI driven software.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Swift, Objective-C, or C++.
• Experience developing software prototypes and features driven by Large Language Models and designing tool and function-calling interfaces.
• Experience developing and evaluating ML Models and Algorithms using Python, PyTorch, and SQL.
• Fluency with agentic coding tools like Claude Code for accelerating engineering productivity.
• Experience designing and developing systems that are efficient in resource constrained environments (preferred).
• Experience building key software components and APIs used cross functionally across different applications and platforms (preferred).
