What you'll do

Lead the engineering team in rebuilding middle-office applications as cloud-native services on AWS.
Set engineering standards for microservices, event-driven integration, containerization, and Oracle data design.
Design and run an agentic SDLC using AI for reverse engineering, code conversion, and test generation.
Build and orchestrate reusable AI workflows, prompt libraries, and codebase knowledge graphs.
Track and report AI productivity metrics, including throughput, defect rates, and cost per migrated application.
Implement human review checkpoints and secure-coding gates for all AI-generated code to ensure compliance.
Hire, coach, and grow a permanent cloud-native engineering team with high AI fluency.
Own technical delivery plans, estimates, and release quality for the modernization programme.

What we're looking for

12+ years in software engineering.
5+ years leading large engineering teams on complex modernization or cloud migration programmes.
Hands-on background in Java/Spring Boot, microservices, REST, Kafka/IBM MQ, and AWS (ECS/EKS, IAM, networking).
Practical experience using AI coding assistants and agents in delivery with measurable results.
Experience migrating legacy stacks (COBOL, C/C++, PowerBuilder, Sybase) to modern platforms including Oracle database migration.
Working knowledge of CI/CD, DevSecOps, secrets management (Vault/CyberArk), and observability.
Experience delivering in a regulated financial services environment with strong change and control requirements.
Knowledge of investment servicing, MCP servers, or AWS Professional-level certification (preferred).
