Team Lead Software Engineer, VP will lead one or more scrum teams within the Front Office organization to build and maintain core OEMS product areas. In this role, you will act as an architect to drive modernization plans for OEMS modules while fulfilling Scrum Master duties to foster a continuous improvement culture. You will design new features based on market needs, oversee code reviews, mentor team members in technical and financial domain knowledge, and manage project backlogs. The work involves developing software programs using Microservices, Java, C#, SQL, JavaScript, React, Spring Boot, Kafka, Kubernetes, and cloud databases, specifically within Microsoft Azure environments. You will solve complex problems involving highly transactional, concurrent, and event-driven systems to support portfolio management, trading, compliance, post-trade, IBOR, or wealth management functions for investment firms.

What you'll do

Lead one or more scrum teams to build and maintain core OEMS product areas.
Act as an Architect to create modernization plans for OEMS modules and drive implementation.
Design new features with Product peers based on market needs and client commitments.
Serve as a Scrum Master to lead the Agile development process and foster continuous improvement.
Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and guidance on complex software designs to staff members.
Write and approve software development specifications, project proposals, methods, and schedules.
Develop, test, and debug software programs using Microservices, Java, C#, SQL, or JavaScript.
Review testing strategies and plans to ensure high product quality for the team's products.

What we're looking for

A B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another technical field is required; an MS degree is preferred.
At least 15 years of professional experience in a software engineering role is required.
At least 3 years of experience in technical leadership or at the architect level is required.
At least 8 years of experience designing and developing software for highly transactional, concurrent, and event-driven systems is required.
At least 5 years of experience in financial services development for areas like Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, or Wealth Management is desired.
At least 5 years of cloud native application development experience using platforms like Azure, Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka, and Kubernetes is required.
Experience with object-oriented programming, RDBMS, scripting, and UI development in C#, React, or JavaScript is preferred.
At least 5 years of experience working with Agile development methodologies is required.
